As part of Lockrey's goal of continuous improvement, a new laser machine has been installed in the fabrication department. Investing in this technology will improve lead-times, quality, and efficiency for the operators and programmers who are using this equipment. The video to the right shows the massive undertaking of removing a large laser machine, and replacing it with an even larger one. The new Trumpf 3030 has a fiber optic head that is capable of cutting thicker material (up to 1") as well as reflective material that gave old lasers trouble in the past. Another feature of Lockrey's new laser system is the automatic loading and unloading unit known as the LiftMaster. This is the first of its kind to be installed in North America, and is another huge efficiency gain for the Fab department. When purchasing parts from our company, you can be confident we have the latest technology and enthusiastic employees who know what it takes to get quality products to our customers.
