American Cancer Society Relay For Life
|
The annual Relay For Life is a fun, overnight event that celebrates
Cancer survivorship and helps raise money for the
American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people
gather at schools, fairgrounds or parks, taking
turns walking or running laps. One team member remains on the track at all times.
This event brings together those who have shared the same experiences with Cancer as well as those who have lost loved ones to the disease. In 2005, Lockrey Manufacturing lost a valued Machinist to Cancer, Dave Gearing. Dave who was only in his mid-forties, had worked at Lockrey for over eleven years. |
